Mountain Lion 10.8

Relevant specs:

• Graphic card: Saphire ATI Radeon 5770
• CPU: Q8300, Quad Core @2.50 Ghz
• Motherboard: ASRock G41M-VS3 Rev2.0

Note: This GPU doesn't need any configuration, if you have a ATI Radeon 5770, it should work out of the box with your Hackintosh, if you have another one, you will have to do some research for yourself.

Method used: UniBeast + EasyBeast + Custom Kexts for Ethernet and Audio

Step 1: Make a Unibeast Mountain Lion USB drive by reading step 1 and step 2 from this guide. You will need a computer already running mac.
If you have access to a computer running Mac, you can watch this video to learn how to make a UniBeast drive without using the AppStore or paying for Mountain Lion (read instructions in the video description).

If you don't have one or you can't borrow one, you have two alternatives:
1 - Search for "Unibeast Windows  on PirateBay and follow the instructions to make a UniBeast drive with Windows.

2 - If anything goes wrong you can always create a virtual machine on your PC running Mac OS. This is possible, but not on ASRock G41M-VS3 Rev2.0, so you need to find a computer with a motherboard that is compatible with virtualization. Most recent computers are (You might need to enable it in the BIOS).
In order to make a Mac OS virtual machine, there is a really nice torrent that includes almost everything you need here. The VMware software is needed, so here it is (torrent). The guy that made this possible also made a detailed video on how to do this that will help you.

Step 2: After you have your UniBeast USB drive ready plug it in your computer. Now you need to go into the BIOS and make some configurations. My BIOS version is 1.60, this should not matter much, but if you are on a lower version, I recommend you to update here.
First of all you are going to set all the settings to "Performance Default". After that change "No memory execute" to enable. Also in the BIOS set your computer to first boot from your USB drive where Unibeast is installed.

Step 3: Boot from UniBeast USB drive and follow the simple installation steps that you can read more in detail in the Step 3 of this guide. After the installation is finished, the computer will restart and when It asks from where you want to boot from, select the hard drive you installed Mountain Lion on and hit enter.

Step 4: When you finally booted OS X, Download this version of MultiBeast, and run the application. (you may need to change some security settings on your mac). Open the application and select only the EasyBeast option. (if you have an SSD, select Trim Enabler 10.8). Proceed with the installation.

Step 5: Open Finder and go to System->Library->Extentions and find AppleHDA.kext and delete it. Download KextUtility and this kext for the Audio, and this kext for the Ethernet. Drag one by one to the KextUtility app and let the it repair all the permissions and clean the caches. This are special kexts made for this motherboard. If you attempt to use other ones you will probably get Kernel Panics.

Step 6: Restart your computer and go to the BIOS and select to boot first from the hard drive you installed Mountain Lion on. Apply the changes and boot the OS. Everything should be working fine.

Note: Do not update or try this guide with 10.8.2 or 10.8.3, updating caused kernel panics.

You now should have a fully working Hackintosh with the exception of sleep.
